Pladis Global, the parent company of Verkade, has decided to revitalize the production site in Zaandam—the 135-year-old Verkade biscuit factory—by making an investment. The investment aimed to make the factory more stable, predictable, and reliable. The program included three workstreams: OPEX, CAPEX, and HR (change).
IPMG successfully managed the project for the largest workstream (CAPEX). This involved six investment projects that were successfully implemented in a fully operational environment, ranging from a fully automated dough-making process, dough transport via AGVs, improved production lines, automatic pallet wrappers, to the automation of remaining manual tasks.
